Every postponed decision has a justification. The problem is that, for EV chargers in condo buildings, most of the common justifications don't survive a quick fact check.
"It'll cost the building money"
It won't. Installation and equipment are fully paid for by PowerUp. The building also gets a 110% reimbursement on the energy consumed.
"We need a special general meeting"
In most cases, no. Since there's no cost and installation happens in a common area, board authorization is usually enough.
"What if something goes wrong, who pays?"
PowerUp carries full insurance covering physical and electrical damage, and is contractually liable for any damage caused by its own team.
"We don't have any residents with an EV yet"
Maybe not today. But the EV and hybrid market grew sharply this year. Waiting for the first resident to buy one before acting means always deciding a step behind demand.
